Challenging any long established status quo is always a tricky business, whatever the field. Science also suggests that all action begets an equal and opposite reaction.
Put the two together and it should come as no surprise that a strident and passionate challenge will result in an equally forceful reaction.
If we were primarily rational rather than emotional beings perhaps challenges based on logic would be exempt from these rules - but we aren't.
There are those people that seem able to deliver their challenging message in a palatable way, and others that are not - but this does not alter the message's merit.
So to Dr Hiltrud Strasser, a diminutive but very forceful, and almost archetypically German lady, whose high-impact message reverberates throughout the horse world.
No doubt her character is, to some extent, responsible for the reactionary attacks that come her way, but let's leave that aside and just focus on the message.
